(Pandalus borealis)
Atlantic Canadian Northern Shrimp are a sweet tasting
flavourful species low in fat and high in protein
Caught in the icy cold waters off of Eastern Canada in the North Atlantic Ocean,
our coldwater shrimp are known for their slightly bigger size than the stocks
further north. Northern Shrimp, being the most important coldwater species in the
world, offer a clean, very sweet flavour, more intense than warm water shrimp.
Our Canadian Northern Shrimp come from a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)
certified fishery located right off our shores known as Scotia-Fundy. They are
caught by local independent harvesters who deliver their catch right to our
wharves, ensuring freshness and quality.
